Bernie and Pai came out to California for a ranch visit in August.
While Bernie worked, Pai and I had many great adventures. First up was meeting Blackie.
And eating peanuts with Grandpa and Jeanne.
Our budding botanist was very interested in Jeanne’s flowers.
One day we went to the Moccasin Fish Hatchery. Auntie’s friend Justin rustled up a cup of fish food for Pai.
It’s been a lovely cool summer. Unfortunately that means it’s darn right cold at higher elevations, but that didn’t stop us from spending a couple fun afternoons at Pinecrest.
My new kayak partner.
We all had colorful fingers and toes to celebrate summer!
Pai helped me fill the bird feeders and mix the hummingbird food.
Black Creek Park was a fun place to play AND work-out!
Finally it was warm enough to go swimming.
The train at Culver’s was a big hit.
And so was the apple cider!
There was a beautiful full moon for Bernie and Paidia’s visit.
Too soon it was time to return to Austin. Pai had her new lunch box and was excited to start ‘school’ on Monday!
